Binom vs Voluum

Binom charges a license fee for software you host. Voluum Profit charges for a monthly pool of events in the cloud.

Nadia Lindqvist, Affiliate tracking, updated 19 October 2026

Pick Binom if you will outgrow Voluum Profit's event pool or 20 active campaigns and want a flat license (plus your own server or Binom Cloud); pick Voluum if you want a managed cloud tracker with Traffic Distribution AI and can live inside Profit's million-event allowance.

You are choosing between two prices. Binom's license fee stays the same as the clicks increase. Voluum counts events until the monthly allowance runs out, then charges for the extra events.

A flat fee versus an event pool

Binom's price page sells v2 with unlimited users, unlimited domains, and lifetime data retention. The FAQ on that page answers the volume question in the vendor's words: "No, you can buy a billion clicks and only pay the licensing fee for their processing."

Buyers who switched away from per-event cloud pricing say the flat fee is what made a high-volume month cheaper. Lifetime data retention is on the same v2 card, so the click history stays for the life of the license.

Voluum's event article puts impressions, visits, clicks, and conversions in one monthly pool. Ten impressions count as one billable event. A visit, a click, and a conversion each count as one, and each kind draws from that same pool.

An impression is the ad being shown. A visit is the landing page loading. A click is the hop from that page toward the offer. A conversion is the network posting the sale back after the click. Voluum groups impressions in batches of ten. A visit, a click, and a postback each use one event.

Run the same campaign with impression tracking on and the two prices diverge. Binom's license fee does not change when you track impressions. Voluum uses one event for every ten impressions, plus one event for the visit, one for the click, and one for the postback. A visitor cap is a third way to measure that traffic. ClickMagick vs Voluum compares a visitor cap with Profit's event pool.

The server you rent

The v2 install guide names the Ubuntu release, the memory, the cores, the disk, and KVM. You rent that machine, patch it, and keep it online. You pay the host for the machine in addition to the v2 rate.

That same card says Binom will install the tracker and the environment on your server for free. There is no separate fee for that install. You still pay for the machine and keep it running.

Cloud is the other card on that page. Installation is automatic, and the plan includes the server, monitoring, and optimization. Choose Cloud if you want Binom and you would rather have Binom manage the server.

Meta and Google, version by version

Binom's homepage FAQ says version 1 includes Facebook and Google integrations. Those integrations will soon be available for v2. On the current version, that work is still ahead.

Voluum's Facebook conversion article explains how to send a conversion API postback. If you are deciding which system should send the Meta event, read Facebook pixel vs Conversions API.

Voluum vs Binom when Profit still covers the month

The Profit list includes Traffic Distribution AI. Voluum describes it as automatic optimization of campaign performance. Auto-rules and API integrations stay free up to $1,000 of ad spend a month, and that line includes 10 auto-rules. Above that spend, Automizer is a separate subscription.

The event meter and the ad-spend limit are separate charges. A month with few clicks can still require an Automizer subscription. A month with many events can add an overage charge even when ad spend stays within the free limit.

If you expect to hit the campaign limit or use up the included events, read these two other comparisons next. RedTrack vs Voluum covers Solo, which leaves the campaign count open. Binom

What works

  • Click volume does not change the v2 rate.
  • Users, domains, and data retention are unlimited on v2.
  • Binom installs the tracker and the environment on your server at no extra charge.

What to watch

  • Self-hosted v2 needs Ubuntu 24.04 or 26.04, 4 GB of RAM, two CPU cores, 50 GB of disk, and KVM.
  • You pay for the server and you keep it online. Hosting is not part of the license price.
  • Facebook and Google integrations are in v1. The homepage FAQ says they will soon be available for v2.

Voluum

What works

  • Profit includes up to 1,000,000 events.
  • Traffic Distribution AI is on the Profit feature list.
  • The homepage offers a 14-day platform preview and says no payment details are required.

What to watch

  • Profit includes 20 active campaigns.
  • Auto-rules and API integrations are free only up to $1,000 of ad spend a month, then Automizer is a separate subscription.
  • Public reviews describe the setup as more complex than a visitor-capped tracker, and say the price pays off once ad spend is high enough to use the allowance.

What each card charges

v2 is $104 a month on yearly billing, or $149 if you pay each month. An additional license, for a second tracker instance, is $52 a month on yearly billing, or $75 if you pay each month. Cloud is $299 a month. That card includes the server, which the self-hosted license leaves to you, and it caps traffic at 2 million clicks a day.

Voluum's pricing page lists Profit's annual rate, the event quota, and the campaign cap shown in the table. Events past the included quota are $0.06 per 1,000, charged at the end of the billing cycle. Auto-rules stay free inside the ad-spend limit named above. Profit also lists 14 days of chat support in the panel.

When the page, the checkout, and the postback share one record

Binom and Voluum record the click and the network's later postback. The landing page still lives somewhere else. ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that run paid traffic. The page, a same-URL split test, the checkout, and the attribution sit on one data layer, so a network can post the sale back onto that record.

Same-URL split testing is the part that matters for an ad account. Variants rotate on the server under one campaign link, so Meta, Google, and TikTok keep the learning on that link. The platform also builds pages, from a prompt or by cloning a URL, and it hosts checkout with order bumps, one-click upsells, and subscriptions. Every feature is on every plan. Plans differ by usage limits.

Starter is $97 a month, or $937 billed for the year, with 50,000 page views. A page view is one load of a page ElasticFunnels hosts. Bot traffic, data-center traffic, and test traffic do not count as page views. The trial lasts 14 days, and no credit card is required. Pages, funnels, and a custom domain can be set up during the trial. The 0.5% checkout fee applies to revenue processed through Stripe, NMI, PayPal, Klarna, or Authorize.net. Sales through an external checkout or a network are outside that 0.5%.

ElasticFunnels is newer than the platforms it competes with, and there is very little independent review coverage to check its claims against. Until you run real volume through it, you are largely taking the vendor's word for how postbacks behave. ElasticFunnels launched in 2023, so there has been less time for independent reviews of its postback tracking to accumulate. The pages, the checkout, and the CRM remain on the plan even while independent reviews are still scarce. A team that already hosts the page and the checkout, and only needs the tracker, should stay with Binom or Voluum. The hosted-page comparison is ElasticFunnels vs ClickFunnels. Plan limits are on the ElasticFunnels pricing page.

When Voluum is the better fit

I would choose Voluum if I needed traffic distribution and my ad spend stayed within the free limit, so I would not have to maintain a server. Binom is the better buy when your monthly volume will exceed the event allowance or the campaign cap. The Voluum review covers Profit by itself. Voluum alternatives is the page to open if the campaign cap is the reason you would switch.

Our pick

Binom

Binom is the tracker to choose when your click volume exceeds a metered cloud allowance and you can manage your own server or use Binom Cloud.

Questions

What changes if you search for Voluum vs Binom?
Profit fits an account that can stay inside the included events and wants traffic distribution on a cloud tracker. The license fits an account that will pass those limits and can host the tracker or use Binom Cloud.
What does a Binom tracker review come down to?
Where the software runs, and which trial the price page describes. v2 can sit on your machine. Cloud is hosted, with automatic installation and a 7-day trial. The v2 card lists a 30-day trial. The pricing FAQ describes a 14-day trial you can extend to 30 days by asking support or using a coupon.
Who keeps the server online?
You do, on the self-hosted install. The guide names the Ubuntu release, the memory, the cores, the disk, and KVM. Cloud is the plan where installation is automatic and the machine is included.
Does a heavy click day change the Binom rate?
A large day leaves the v2 rate unchanged. The amount that changes is the hosting bill, which you pay to the company that rents you the machine. That rent is separate from the license.
How do you stop Voluum from sending the same Facebook sale twice?
Turn off the Pixel Redirect URL when the conversion API postback is on. Voluum's Facebook article says that option sends the conversion a second time if you leave it enabled.
